Tissue Symposium

The 3rd International Symposium on Tissue and Recycling Paper Research and Technology

Wednesday, October 23, 2019
TRANSAMERICA HOTEL, São Paulo, Brazil

PRESENTATION

The 3rd International Symposium on Tissue and Recycling Paper will be held within the 52nd Pulp and Paper International Congress ABTCP 2019.

The first Symposium was held in Brazil, as independent satellite event within the ABTCP 2009 Pulp and Paper Congress, concerned to the fundamental knowledge about paper recycling. The second, held in Argentina, in 2011, and jointly organized with AFCP, covered the energy efficiency in the pulp and paper industry. Now, we proudly announce the third Symposium edition, with ABTCP and RIADICYP, through its chapter RIARREC, focused on research and technology challenges for tissue papermaking.

This Symposium on Tissue and Recycling Paper has been organized since 2009, by RIADICYP, in order to address emerging subjects related to the Pulp and Paper sector, in different countries, with the support of their Associations.

OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the Symposium are: to provide opportunities for engineers and scientists, from different countries, to exchange recent results related to fundamental knowledge about tissue papermaking; to promote cooperation among different groups, and to bring technical suggestions and recommendations to tissue paper manufacturers, including technical aims to small and medium scale production entrepreneurs.

MAIN SUBJECTS

The overarching theme “Tissue Papermaking Research and Technology” will be discussed in the following main topics: (1) The Fiber Network Structure; (2) Properties and Quality; (3) Physical Testing Techniques; (4) Papermachine Technologies; (5) Chemistry; (6) Raw Materials and Fibers; (7) Converting Processes. All these topics, not excluding other relevant ones, will be addressed in an interdisciplinary way, including maintenance and manufacturing technologies.

KEYNOTES AND INVITED SPEAKERS

ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

The program of the Symposium will include a number of keynote lectures and invited speakers presentations. Contributed oral presentations (regular papers) submissions are strongly encouraged. Oral and poster contributions will be regarded as scientifically equivalent in the program. All the works can be submitted in english, spanish or portuguese language. All of the physical organization such as registration, technical session room structure and patronage management will be conducted by the Secretariat of the Congress. The 3rd International Symposium on Tissue and Recycling Paper Research and Technology has independent Chairs and Committees from ABTCP Congress.

REGISTRATION

The early registration to the Symposium is mandatory. The certificate of participation will be provided under early request. Please, enjoy the hospitality desk, coffee and refreshments during the Symposium. However, for the welcome reception, social and cultural events, and access to other areas, such as technical sessions, we strongly recommend your inscription to the ABTCP Congress and to the Gala Dinner, both with some cost.
